INVITATION TO NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BID

Ethio Telecom, invites all interested and eligible bidders by this national competitive bid (NCB) for the procurement of “BOOM BARRIER WITH- OUT LPR CAMERA, UNDER VEHICLE MIRROR, HANDLED METAL DETECTOR TYPE1, AND BOOM BARRIER WITH LPR” WITH RFQ No. 4264164, 4264144, 4264137 AND 4264072 respectively. The bid remains floating from May 26, 2024, to June 17, 2024.

Bid documents can be obtained from websites www.2merkato.com  www.afrotender.com, and www.extratenders.com, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 100.00 (Birr One Hundred only) by using the tele birr payment platform.

1. Interested bidders are expected to fulfill the Requirements stated here below:

1. Original Bid Security;
2. Letter of Authorization to sign the bid offers;
3. Anti-bribery pledge form;
4. Compliance Statement
5. Renewed trade license for the current year (for domestic bidders);
6. VAT registration certificate (for domestic bidders);
7. Manufacturer authorization form (MAF)

1.1 All Bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of Birr 100,000.00 (Birr One Hundred Thousand only) for full bid and Birr 50,000 (Birr fifty Thousand) for partial bid respectively by using tele birr payment platform.

1.2 The bid bond shall be furnished in one of the following forms: –

a) Certified Cheque/CPO issued by a recognized domestic bank or

b) Bond issued by and/or confirmed through a recognized /reputable Domestic bank.

1.3 The Bank that issues the bond as per 1.2 (b) here above shall unequivocally guarantee to pay the purchaser immediately upon the first written demand of payment. The Purchaser’s written demand of payment shall not be subject to any condition whatsoever.

1.4 The bond issuing bank shall clearly incorporate the content stated under Clause here above on the issued bond.

1.5 The Bid Security shall be issued in the name of the bidder’s/Agent’s company as appropriate that participated in the bid;

1.6 Sealed bids marked as: “Tender for the Supply of “BOOM BARRIER WITHOUT LPR CAMERA, UNDER VEHICLE MIRROR, HANDLED METAL DETECTOR TYPE1, AND BOOM BARRIER WITH LPR” with RFQ No. 4264164, 4264144, 4264137 and 4264072 respectively and be addressed to:

2. The bid proposal will be received at Ethio Telecom, Head Quarter 2nd Floor, Room No. 211B, before or on June 17, 2024 5:00 PM. Bids presented by any bidder after the closing date shall not be accepted.

3. Bids received in time and fulfilling the other formalities shall be opened in the presence of interested bidders or their legal representatives on June 18, 2024, at 10:00 A.M, at Ethio Telecom, Head Quarter 2nd Floor, Room No.210.

4. Partial bid is allowed.

5. No one is allowed to duplicate or transfer the bidding document that she/he acquired to participate under this invitation.

6. Bidders are seriously advised to read and comply with the instructions provided in this bidding document.

7. Ethio Telecom reserves the right to reject all or parts of this bid.
